Yes — the EA connection is read-only, so FranchiseHuddle can never change your franchise, and your EA sign-in stays on EA’s own page.
Short answer: yes, and the connection is designed so FranchiseHuddle can’t harm your franchise even if it wanted to.
Read-only, always
FranchiseHuddle’s connection to EA is read-only. It reads your franchise to mirror it on the site and in Discord, and it never writes back — it cannot edit a roster, change a score, make a trade, or advance your franchise. Everything on the site is a reflection of what already happened in the game.
Your EA sign-in stays with EA
You never type your EA password into FranchiseHuddle. You sign in on EA’s own page, EA hands your browser back a redirect URL, and you paste that URL into FranchiseHuddle. All FranchiseHuddle ever receives is the tokens needed to read your franchise — and those refresh automatically so you rarely touch it again.
What this means in practice
- FranchiseHuddle can never break, edit or corrupt your franchise.
- The real EA result is always the source of truth — even a commissioner override only changes FranchiseHuddle’s own records, never the imported score.
- Every stat, score and standing on the site is honest, because it’s the real game mirrored.
Read-only isn’t a limitation — it’s the guarantee. FranchiseHuddle can show your league, but it can never touch your franchise.
