Discord & console handles
Each owner's Discord handle sits right next to their console gamertag (Xbox, PSN, or PC), so finding someone to actually kick off a game against never means digging through a group chat. A wrong handle is the commissioner's to fix, right from the members page.

Claimed via /claim, so the directory and the server agree on who owns what.

Each owner's team record travels with them, so reputations are earned.
When an owner leaves
Remove someone who's walked away and their team opens up at once. Hand it to the new owner from the members page, or let the next person claim it with /join. The old owner's seasons stay on the record.

Teams don't rival each other — owners do. The directory keeps the human map current so trades ping the right person, matchup channels tag the right rivals, and open seats are easy to fill. When someone quits mid-season, the commissioner removes them, picks the team's new owner, and any GM Pro seat the league paid for frees up for the newcomer.
