The integrity-watch and discipline channels

Quick answer

Two auto-built channels keep enforcement public: the watchdog posts suspicious roster edits, and discipline announces warnings, suspensions and overrides.

Part of the auto-built hub is a pair of channels aimed at keeping the league honest — one for the integrity watchdog, one for discipline. They keep enforcement out in the open instead of buried in the commissioner’s DMs.

The integrity-watch channel

After every sync, the integrity watchdog compares the new rosters to the last sync and posts anything suspicious to a dedicated watchdog channel — for example, a quarterback flipped to punter to re-sign cheap, a dev trait quietly dropped, or an attribute gutted overnight. The channel gives the commissioner and staff a clean feed of “things worth a second look” without wading through the main chat.

The discipline channel

When the commissioner reviews a flag and finalizes it — as warned, suspended, or cleared — a league alert posts here so everyone sees the ruling and the reason. Result overrides (forced wins and forfeits) and their reasons post to the league as well, so the record of every call is public.

Why keep it public

  • Rulings that happen in the open are trusted; rulings in DMs breed drama.
  • The whole league sees why a call was made, not just that it was.
  • There’s a durable, shared record of warnings, suspensions and overrides.

These channels turn enforcement from a private argument into a transparent process. The watchdog flags it, the commissioner rules on it, and the league sees the outcome — in daylight.

Commissioner control

Nothing here is automatic punishment. The watchdog only flags; the commissioner decides what actually happens. Because the EA sync is read-only, these tools track, alert and announce — the enforcement itself is always a human call.
