Work top to bottom: create → configure your hub → connect EA → invite owners → install Discord → confirm claims → pick free or paid.
Here’s the full path from empty league to a running one, in the order that works best. Do them top to bottom and nothing will be waiting on something you skipped.
1. Create and name your league
Sign up, confirm your email, and land on your dashboard. You’re the commissioner.
2. Set up your hub before importing
Configure the basics first so your first sync lands cleanly:
- Confirm your league name and basic details.
- Set your advance timer and scheduling window (how long owners get to play, and how long they have to lock a kickoff).
- Set any house rules you want the watchdog and discipline tools to enforce (for example, a running-up-the-score margin).
3. Connect your EA franchise
Run the EA-login flow: you sign into EA, get redirected, and paste the URL back into FranchiseHuddle. Data starts importing — rosters, schedule, standings — and from then on the sync runs on its own. See Connect your franchise to EA for the step-by-step.
4. Invite your owners
Share your league’s invite link so owners can join and claim the team they run. Open teams are flagged so recruiting is easy.
5. Install the Discord hub
Add the FranchiseHuddle bot to your server and let it build the channel hub. From then on it posts scoreboards, matchups and recaps, and answers slash commands.
6. Confirm everyone’s claimed and set
Make sure each active owner has claimed their team and set their console, gamertag and Discord handle, so matchups, mentions and trade votes all know who’s who.
7. Decide on free vs paid
Everything is viewable on the free tier with manual sync. When you want the sync to run hands-off and the Discord hub and AI recaps to fire on their own, unlock the paid automation from your billing settings.
Rule of thumb: configure, then connect, then invite. Setting your windows and rules before the first import means your league is ready the moment data lands.
Ongoing
Once you’re live, the day-to-day is light: advance your franchise as normal, and FranchiseHuddle keeps the site and Discord current. Your commissioner time goes to rulings and the occasional override — not data entry.
