An unscheduled game just needs the two owners to drop availability and lock a time. If someone won’t play, the commissioner can force a result.
A game showing up without a locked kickoff time isn’t a bug — it just means the two owners haven’t set a time yet. Here’s how it gets handled.

If you’re one of the owners
- Open the matchup in the app at app.franchisehuddle.app or in its Discord channel.
- Drop your availability — the times that work for you in the scheduling window.
- Find the overlap with your opponent and lock a kickoff.
If a game is drifting toward the deadline without a locked time, FranchiseHuddle auto-pings both owners in-app and in Discord — so the nudge happens on its own. See Set availability & lock a kickoff for the full flow.
If you’re the commissioner
- Set sensible windows. Your advance timer and scheduling window drive the whole self-scheduling system and the auto-ping. See Scheduling windows & auto-ping.
- Let the auto-ping work. You don’t have to chase people — FranchiseHuddle nudges the stragglers for you.
- Rule on a game that can’t be played. If an owner ghosts or a game genuinely can’t happen, use a result override to force a result or record a forfeit, so the week and the standings don’t stay stuck. Your reason posts to Discord.
Most unscheduled games solve themselves once both owners drop availability. The commissioner only needs to step in when someone’s not playing at all — and then an override settles it cleanly.
